A brochure website is one with no content management system and a small number of pages, the idea being they aren't likely to change often. This is often useful for pages about a single product for example, or just as a window for information about a company.

Unlike a CMS, a brochure website can focus on the individual layout of each page because we don't need to compensate for future content being added, the result is a visually stunning website with no compromises.

The downside is it's difficult to update the website yourself, however, the goal of a brochure website is that you won't need to do this very often.

This all depends on the number of pages, the proposed content and the level of functionality required. A small, simple website can be turned around in well under a week, while those with a greater selection of pages and more complex content can take considerably longer.
