Brief:
Manufacturers of high quality schoolwear since 1935, Rowlinson, sought brand adjustment that would provide a nod of respect to their extensive heritage without moving dramatically away from their existing corporate colour scheme. A newly revamped brand was to be followed by and applied to a range of promotional media, including all out-going material, an autumn brochure and the company’s own bi-annual newsletter known as ‘The Schoolbag’.
Solution:
Taking the company’s established corporate blue as a starting point, we created a richer, darker colour palette that successfully captured a sense of maturity while managing to maintain notes of youthful vibrancy. This new colour scheme became the foundation for the range of printed elements that we subsequently created.
For the design of the new company brochure, we were active at all stages of the project, from organising photo shoots right through to overseeing the printing process. The finished brochure was a glossy, contemporary product that provided the reader with both relevant clothing range details and a strong sense of the company’s identity and values. For the newsletter, meanwhile, we took the concept of a scrapbook in order to create a finished piece that was not only eye-catching but also entirely relevant to the market it was representing.
