Brief:
Today, smart phones make up a quarter of all mobile phone ownership. Interact Media are a consultancy based in Salford, Greater Manchester that offers businesses the opportunity to improve their existing communication strategy by integrating key mobile activities, such as texting, QR codes and mobile apps. By developing and delivering a successful interactive and mobile strategy, they can ensure brands are connected with their customer at any moment, instantly building relationships and marketing effectively.
Interact Media approached Ahoy to create an identity that reflected their business: something contemporary, fresh and creative. They also required a rough website visual that they could take and develop elsewhere.
Solution:
The idea of “touch” has become synonymous with mobile technology - gone are the days of clunky buttons and restricted layouts. Therefore the interact media logo was designed using three simple fingerprints, representing this unique form of technology. Almost ‘painted’ on, they reinforce this idea of freedom and creativity. The fingerprints also lend themselves to associations with something personal and unique. Coloured using a bright, bold colour palette, a fresh, youthful edge is added to the identity.
A lowercase letter ‘i’ was chosen as the main icon as it holds strong associations with cutting edge technology (ipod, ipad, itunes). Words such as ‘intelligence’, ‘interactive’ and ‘information’ all spring to mind, as well as the letter used to refer to oneself, namely “I”.
A clean and simplistic homepage was then designed for the client to build upon and develop elsewhere.
