Brief:

Hot off the success of their child friendly holiday website, the Away Group wanted Ahoy to create a website that would showcase grown up holidays. The brand needed to feel part of the Away Group but be clearly marketed as an upmarket brand showcasing luxury products solely for adults.



Solution:

We developed a solution using a classical serif font to give the identity an upmarket feel but retained the personal touch of the main brand by keeping the handwritten typography. The mix of duck egg blue positioned upon a textured grey background helped differentiate the brand from competitors.


A more sophisticated and plush looking website was designed to reflect the high standard of accommodations offered. We added new quick search options, such as 'away with the girls' 'city breaks' and 'coastal getaways' which gave users getaway ideas. Quick semantic links and a well structured website ensured it was indexed quickly and extensively by Google.
