Brief:
Away with the Kids needed a website that specialises in quality, child-friendly accommodation for families. They needed a brand that would feel happy, relaxed and reflect their personal approach to listing and reviewing places to stay, eat and visit. The website required a system that would allow administrators and accommodation owners to upload and manage listings.
Solution:
The handwritten font helped communicate a personable character to the brand. The 'x' or kiss is a link to days when people would send postcards signed with a kiss telling other family members how great their holiday was. The 'x' was also used as a sign off from owners Jo and Helen in their reviews.
The website could be used in a way that was preferred by the user. They could search by looking at a location or for a specific type of accommodation. We used icons to show what facilities were available along with a 'reviews' and 'map' page. The result is a website that looks great, is easy to use, and out performs competitors in Google.
