Brief:

After a complete refurbishment, Aberconwy Resort & Spa became a holiday park like no other, and needed a new image to match this.

 

After extensive consumer research we determined that we needed to create a premium brand identity that maintained the welcoming and relaxing holiday experience that Aberconwy already had, focusing strongly on their USPs. Aberconwy also required a website that would communicate the magic of owning your own holiday home and why Aberconwy Resort was different to all other parks.



Solution:

We made the identity look more honest and friendly with a loose and easygoing hand-rendered font. We ensured the identity still had a refined balance by adding a light san-serif font underneath. The use of dark chocolate browns and gold added a classic luxury feel that would resonate with the existing mature residents and the new middle aged customers.

 

We worked with our photographer to create a series of images that captured the beauty of Aberconwy from every angle. These were used within marketing material to inspire and seduce holiday home buyers. We created advertorial style adverts to appear in magazines to allow people a glimpse into the Aberconwy experience.

 

We created the website in Flash which allowed us to create a very rich and slick experience. To make the most of the photography we displayed them full screen in the background and layered the content over the top in sliding blocks that could be resized. A full admin system was built so that non-technical staff could upload new homes and the latest news. To show the benefits of the location we created an interactive map showing all the key local attractions.
