A chilling future, future UK, UK future?...

In recent years, a lot of the media have been up in arms about people slipping in txt spk in thur englsh essays and tests, and how it would spell the end of civilisation as we know it. Putting aside all the Daily Mail style rants though, this is all just one of those things reflective of the era in which those people were growing up. The mid 90s being when the explosion of mobile use hit.

If that was the case in the 90s though, could search engine optimised text be the next thing to slip into mainstream writing? This thought came up whilst looking through Just Eat the other day; they've recently done some SEO work, and the blocks of text filled with keywords was quite noticeable. Indeed, optimised text always feels a little kludgy and forced despite our best efforts.

Given what big business optimising sites is now, and how immersed in such sites the next generation of adults are likely to be, will everyone in ten years time be submitting business reports with endless sentences about how this Statistic Rich Marketing Results document contains Statistics, Marketing, UK Marketing, Statistically Rich Marketing Results, Results on marketing and some Rich Statistics for UK, England...
