Vintage Logos
Whilst browsing Flickr for inspiration today, I found a rather special collection of Vintage Logos from a mid-70's edition of a book called ‘World of Logotypes’.
There are some truly wonderful examples of 70’s over-indulgence in this collection. Bloated complex logo's with lavish use of shape and typography, huge sweeping serifs and funky retro letterforms make this an excellent 70’s design study.
It’s also a great resource for inspiration when designing logo’s. Some of the worlds biggest brands are featured here (WWF, Disney, Texaco etc) and you can really see how their logos have evolved from then to now.
So remember to bookmark this one, for when you need that little boost of inspiration.
