Everyday People

To
celebrate the marking of ten years of creative excellence The Lowry in Salford
commissioned New York-based Spencer Tunick to create a number of mass nude
installations across Salford and Manchester. Tunick is renowned for site-specific landscapes
in which he photographs hundreds or even thousands of nude volunteers, with
previous installations being staged in Sydney, Melbourne and Barcelona.
However, this was Tunicks first ever multiple site installation and his first visual
response to the work of another artist for the entirety of a project – the work
of LS Lowry.
I
chickened out back in May, but you can see the results at the exhibition, “Everyday
People” between the 12th June and 26th September at the Lowry.
